Feature Request: Add Email Engagement Tracking & API Access (Opens, Clicks, and Inactivity Data)
Hey team,
I wanted to make a feature request that would make a huge difference for those who rely on ClickFunnels for email marketing and automation.
Right now, ClickFunnels can only track opens and clicks on individual email broadcasts, but there’s no way to see or segment based on overall engagement across all emails. For example, there’s no native way to identify whether a contact has opened or clicked any email in the last 30, 60, or 90 days. The only option is "Last activity" and that doesn't really get granular enough for email.
This type of data is critical for improving email deliverability and list health, since inbox providers heavily favor senders who engage regularly with their lists.
Here’s what would make a big impact:
Internal Engagement Tracking:
It would be great if ClickFunnels could track overall contact engagement — meaning whether a subscriber has opened or clicked any email within a set timeframe.
API Access for Engagement Data:
Even if this can’t be built immediately into the platform, making that engagement data available through the API would allow third-party tools like ListDefender.com or EmailSmart.com to integrate with ClickFunnels.
This would make it possible to automatically tag and segment contacts based on engagement, improving deliverability and targeting.
If ClickFunnels eventually builds this feature natively, it would eliminate the need for third-party tools altogether and make the platform even stronger as a complete CRM and email automation system.
I really believe this addition would help ClickFunnels users protect deliverability, keep their lists clean, and get better results, but it would also likely reduce costs for both ClickFunnels and its users. By allowing users to focus on engaged subscribers instead of sending large volumes of emails to unengaged contacts, everyone wins with cleaner data, lower sending costs, and better performance overall.
I would love to go deeper with this so anytime you guys want ideas hit me up.
