Workflow step settings with an unknown option return a validation error instead of a 500
POST /api/v2/workflows/:workflow_id/steps and PATCH /api/v2/workflows/steps/:id used to answer an unrecognized option in step_type_settings with a generic 500, such as an assignment_strategy of Specific on a create_opportunity_step. They now return a 422 that names the field and lists the values it accepts: Request unprocessable: assignment_strategy 'Specific' is not valid; must be one of: unassigned, membership, pipeline, round_robin.
The Workflow Step reference now lists those four values too, so you can get it right the first time and correct it in one pass when you don't.
Agent examples: build an opportunity step without guessing the assignment option · read the allowed values from a rejected request and retry with the right one.
